Happy two years. I know you said no gifts and I listened, mostly, but I couldn't help it. There's a small thing in the front pocket of your bag and you're allowed to roll your eyes. I was thinking about the first time I really noticed you, which wasn't even a big moment. It was the second week of class and you started laughing at your own joke before you got to the punchline, and the whole row turned around to look. I remember thinking, oh no. That's a problem. Two years later you still do that and I still think oh no, except now I mean it in the best way possible. We've had our dumb fights, like the one about whose turn it was to pick the movie that ended with both of us eating cereal at midnight not talking, and honestly I'd keep even those. I'm not good at big speeches. I just wanted to say I'm really glad it's you, and I'd like a third year please, and a fourth, and we can argue about the movie later.
