Archive
The global internet archive for cassette tapes. A shared, ever-growing collection of tapes created and sent by people from all over, each one carrying its own tracklist and message.
About Hearfromyou
Creating a Place for Music, Memories, and Messages
Inspired by anonymous message boards, but built around something a little more personal: cassette tapes. Hearfromyou is a place where we can bring back the nostalgia of mixtapes and cassette culture, and the feeling of sharing music with someone as a keepsake. There's something special about putting songs together for a person, attaching memories to them, and knowing that every track was chosen for a reason.
Here, you can create and customize your own cassette tape for someone special. Pick multiple songs to build your tracklist, give your tape a title, and add a message that says what you want to say. It could be something heartfelt, something you've been keeping to yourself, or simply a collection of songs that reminds you of a certain person or time in your life.
Sometimes, it's easier to express how we feel through music. A song might remind us of someone, bring back a memory, or say something we can't quite put into words. Hearfromyou gives those feelings a place to stay, bringing your chosen songs and personal messages together in one cassette that you can look back on.
You can also explore the public archive and come across cassettes shared by other people. Some might be dedicated to someone they love, some might hold things left unsaid, and others might simply be a way of sharing music that means something to them. You never really know what a collection of songs might mean to the person who made it.
At the end of the day, Hearfromyou is about giving memories, music, and messages a place to exist. A small corner of the internet where you can leave something personal behind, revisit an old feeling, or share a part of yourself through a cassette tape.
