2. Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years of age to use Hear From You. If you are under 18, you may only use the service with the consent and supervision of a parent or legal guardian.

3. Permanent Cassettes

Once you publish a cassette on Hear From You, it becomes permanent. Consider this before publishing:

Cassettes cannot be deleted after publication
They remain publicly accessible unless removed by administrators for policy violations
Review your message, song choice, and design before publishing

4. Content Ownership & License

You retain ownership of the content you create. By publishing a cassette, you grant Hear From You the right to use your created cassette for operating and promoting the platform. This includes:

The receiver's name, your message, selected music, and visual design
Display on our website, social media, marketing materials, and promotional campaigns
No additional permission or compensation is required

5. Prohibited Content

You agree not to create or publish any cassette that:

Is illegal or violates applicable laws
Contains hate speech, violence, or explicit adult content
Is harassing, defamatory, or threatening
Infringes on third-party intellectual property rights
Is spam or intended to deceive

6. Music & Third-Party Services

Hear From You allows users to select music tracks through the iTunes Search API or provide a YouTube video URL to use as a track:

Music tracks selected through the iTunes Search API are provided by third-party services, and Hear From You does not own or host the music files.
YouTube tracks are played through YouTube's embedded player. Hear From You does not download, store, or host YouTube videos on its servers.
YouTube videos are displayed through YouTube's player and may be viewed, played, or maximized by users according to YouTube's available player functionality.
Use of iTunes content and YouTube content is subject to the respective third-party services' terms and policies.
Hear From You does not claim ownership of third-party music or video content and is not responsible for third-party content, availability, or licensing matters.

7. Privacy & Data

Hear From You is built with privacy in mind:

We do not require accounts or collect personal information
Your cassette drafts are stored locally on your device only
We do not maintain personal user history on our servers
Published cassettes are stored to remain publicly accessible

8. Content Moderation

We maintain a respectful community through automated moderation and user reporting:

We use AI systems to filter inappropriate content before publication
Users can report cassettes using the report button
Cassettes with multiple reports are reviewed and may be removed
We reserve the right to remove cassettes or suspend access for term violations

9. Advertising

Hear From You is supported by advertising. We display ads on the platform to provide a free service to our users.

10. Limitation of Liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties. We are not liable for damages resulting from your use of the platform, including loss of data, service interruptions, or issues related to music licensing.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of the platform after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated terms.
